Have a query? Check out some of our frequently asked questions to help you with your visit to the Irish Whiskey Museum.

I don’t drink, can I still do the tour?

Yes, we have a non-drinking ticket where you do the tour as normal and receive a soft drink instead of whiskey during the taste.

Can I change the date and/or time of my tour?

If you are looking to change the date or time of your tour, you can contact us on +353 (1) 5250970 or info@irishwhiskeymuseum.ie one hour before your scheduled tour time. However, please note that amending tour times after booking is subject to availability.

Do I have to go on a tour to visit the bar or shop?

You can access the bar and shop without doing the tour. Also, our whiskey experts are available in the bar and at reception to help you with your purchases!

I don’t have time to do the tour, can I just do a whiskey tasting?

Of course, we offer different whiskey tasting ‘flights’ at our in-house bar, McDonnell’s. In fact, our bartenders are even able to talk you through each whiskey and guide you with your tasting!

Do you have audio guides for those who don’t speak English?

Indeed, we do. We provide free audio guides in Spanish, Italian, French, German and Mandarin.

Additionally, we are also able to host private groups and hire a language-specific translator. Please contact us on info@irishwhiskeymuseum.ie for further information and pricing.

Can I buy tickets at the door or do I have to buy online?

You can buy tickets at the door. However, we cannot guarantee your chosen time slot during busy periods or on the weekends. Therefore, we recommend booking online to avoid disappointment.

Do you ship bottles of whiskey or do I have to pick them up in store?

We do not ship out any products available to buy in our retail store. Therefore, you would have to purchase in-store.

How many people tend to be on each tour?

Our tours can hold up to 28 people.

Are children allowed on the tour?

Any under 18’s can take part in our Classic and Premium tours and learn about the history of Irish whiskey, however you must be 18 or over to participate in the tasting session at the end of the tour.  With this in mind, please note that children must be supervised at all times.

In addition, the Blending Experience tour is 18+ only.

Is the museum wheelchair accessible?

Our museum is fully wheelchair accessible.
