Stephen is a tour guide and bartender here at the Irish Whiskey Museum, he has excellent knowledge and appreciation for whiskey at just the young age of 21. He has been working with us for the past year and during that time his passion for whiskey has grew enormously, making him one of the most popular tour guides here in the museum.
Stephen first fell in love with whiskey when he discovered the history behind it. He was impressed by how much the Irish culture has been influenced by whiskey, “Once I got a taste for whiskey, I knew this would be the perfect job for me”. He describes the best part of his role is talking to the customers, explaining how most of his tours are filled with tourists from all over the world who each have a great story to tell.
Stephen’s favourite whiskey is Method and Madness Pot still finished in French Chestnut, he says “the wood used gives the spicy whiskey an earthy undertone and it is incredibly smooth. ”. He also highly recommends Powers Johns Lane, which is available in our bar and retail.
