Four Corners of Ireland Whiskey Cheese Series

As part of Failte Ireland’s ‘Taste the Island’, we are excited to announce a brand new series of Whiskey & Cheese pairing events this October! The Four Corners of Ireland: Whiskey & Cheese Pairing Evenings will run 8-10pm on Friday 11th, 18th and 25th October.

Why Whiskey & Cheese?

Similar to the more traditional wine and cheese pairings, whiskey includes a range of flavour profiles all the way from sweet to smokey. This is why they pair so well with the creamy consistency of cheese to create the ultimate palate cleansing experience. We’ve worked closely with four famous whiskey brands from each corner of the island of Ireland (Ulster, Munster, Leinster and Connaught). They’ve helped us to pair iconic whiskeys with a complementing cheese from the same region.

Coupled with four cheeses, enjoy 4 x 25ml whiskey tastings. We’ve worked with Bushmills, Dingle, Glendalough and Connemara to create a 2-hour interactive experience. Learn about the history of this famous Irish spirit and what flavour profiles suit the distinct flavours of Irish artisan cheese. Each Whiskey & Cheese Pairing evening will include a special guest talk from one of the whiskey distilleries featured in the session.

So, whether you’re a whiskey novice or a pro, this is a brand new tasting experience in Dublin. Experience the wide variety of the whiskey and cheese that the entire island of Ireland has to offer.

We only have limited availability for this series of events. Be sure to book your ticket here today!

The series is also in conjunction with The Festival of Irish Whiskey (Irish Whiskey Association 10-13 October) and DublinTown Food & Drink Festival (14-20 October). Tickets are €45. Check out more details in our calendar.
